10 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR CHILD DEVELOP MUSICAL TALENT

1) Attend the lesson with the child.
2) Know the details the child is learning.
3) Help the child manage his or her time at home to make time for practice.
4) Don't isolate the practicer.
5) Go to live musical performances together.
6) Listen to music in the common areas of the house.
7) Encourage but don't force performance.
8) Take pictures and record your child's history with the instrument.
9) Communicate successes and challenges regularly with your instructor.
10) Supply your child's musical material needs.

 

 


What type of instrument should your child have?

It is very important to obtain the right size instrument.
Not all guitars are made equal. Your instructor would know which instruments are appropriate for the age of your child. Most Childbloom Directors keep abreast of what the local stores are carrying. Ask your instructor.
